What was it like being the first Egyptian Queen?
It was a good feeling. I showed that not only men can take reign. And that women can handle being leader. But I needed to show I could be taken seriously so I ruled as a man.
how did you show everyone who was boss?
I had many temples and shrines built. I also reestablished the trading network with other countries. But I mainly had determination to rule over doubters and show what I'm capable of.
How did you take the throne and how did you leave it?
My father, Thutmose I, was king and he had no male son. So, my husband, Thutmose II, was the heir to the throne. But when he died, his heir was Thutmose III and I co-ruled with him and eventually I took the throne. I left at death.

No one new about my mummified body until 2007 when an archaeologist found my tooth and tracked down my DNA.
When did you become Pharaoh?
I took the throne at age 9 when my father, the king, Akhenaten and my brother Smenkhkare died making me the heir to the throne.
What makes you so famous today?
It wasn't really when I was living that made me so famous today. I was famous in my day, but what made so famous in this time was the discovery of my tomb. My tomb was in such good shape that archaeologists solved many mysteries about Egypt. And my tomb brought mysteries about king tut's curse.
What made you so famous in your day?
Since I became ruler at such a young age, I was well known through Egypt. People doubted I could rule but I became famous when I was actually successful.
Why were you so successful?
I was helped a lot by my advisors, Ay and Hermhab , but I wasn't as important as other pharaohs. I also brought back some forbidden gods instead of just worshipping Amon Ra like my father did.

Egypt under Ramses
![Picture](/uploads/2/5/1/6/25169624/1393388834.jpg)
The Egyptian government was stable under Ramses II because of the way he ruled. first off, Ramses was the only ruler for 66 years straight. throughout these years Ramses gained the trust of his people, making him a more comfortable ruler. Secondly Ramses had to deal with a lot of difficult problems in the empire. For example, he ended the feud (a war had been going on for 20 yrs or more) between the Egyptians and the Hittites, and had to deal with unpredictable floods. In this way he protected Egypt and helped to bring things to a more stable point in time. Lastly, he helped Egypt reach it's highest state of wealth. The kingdom most likely gained this wealth because the pharaoh was providing jobs and was always in touch with the people. What this all shows is that the government was stable under Ramses II because of the way he ruled the empire.
